HOW DOES YOUR TEAM BENEFIT?
It is evident that when teachers are working with a student in need who experiences a state of crisis, they are also at risk of experiencing the same, if they are not formally trained to manage it. The results of the teachers going into a state of crisis may be extremely tragic. A crisis may displace a teacher from an existing classroom when the students need them the most. This situation occurs when sufficient support systems are not in place and teachers/educational assistants need to move to a location or setting which requires their support. At WCFS we considered this dillema and others like it when we developed the Crisis Support Program. This program along with other external factors provides a healthy and intact environment for your boards’ faculty to meet the students’ academic needs.
