Behavioral Consultation
Wholistic Child & Family
Services Inc. (WCFS) works from the foundation
of helping to provide stability for the
children our clients serve; this is done
through consultation and staffing services.
The WCFS team of consultants
is available for our clients who require
specialized support in areas concerning
Autism, Conduct Disorder, Behavioral Concerns,
and Staff Development.
Our Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Team
is prepared to assess, develop and implement
child specific programs. The ASD Team will
help prepare your staff team to implement
and continue monitoring the child independently,
and will be available for further consultation
as needed.
The WCFS Consultation
Team will establish goals that are attainable
for the existing team as well as establish
a plan of reaching the pre-established
goals.
Program Development
WCFS is interested in
creating autonomy among the children’s
services sector specifically Childcare
Centers. Our Program Developers are responsible
for the entire process from assessment
all the way through to implementation and
evaluation of the program. Once our Program
Developers complete the process your team
of ECE’s and ECA’s will be
made aware of how the program works and
why the program works the way it does.
The WCFS Program Development Committee
is responsible for developing, implementing
and instructing.
Developing a program
involves assessing the targeted child/children,
and meeting with all the professionals
that are involved in the child/children’s
daily activities. The next step involves
the Program Developer to observe from a
non-threatening, non-intrusive position,
which does not interfere with your teams
work with the children. All details following
this step vary for differing programs.
Details would be discussed prior to engagement
in an agreement with WCFS.
1-1 Specialized Support
Services
WCFS Specialized Support
Services may be used through a variety
of forms, as we recognize that your needs
come in various forms.
One method of using Specialized
Support Services is a direct link to the
Program Development. Following the development
of a specific program one of our Specialized
Support Staff will be responsible for implementing
the entire program from start to finish
on a daily basis until your team feels
ready and comfortable to implement the
program independently. During this implementation
process your team will have the opportunity
to observe and ask questions about the
program being implemented with the targeted
child.
Another method of using
our Specialized Support Services is supporting
a targeted child within your facility who
you have recognized as needing extra support.
This form is mainly used as a support to
the team (ECE’s) and the targeted
child. These professionals can offer advice
and suggestions, however do not develop
programs. The Specialized Support Team
is available to implement any programs
that your team has already developed and
needs assistance in implementing with a
specific child. This professional will
work with your existing team using the
philosophy and policies of your facility,
which will allow for consistency throughout
the various aspects of your program.
