> About WCFS
At WCFS we have teamed
up with residential treatment facilities,
section 19 classrooms, integrated classrooms
(within school boards), youth shelters,
hospital crisis units, daycare facilities,
and children’s aid societies, in
order to provide qualified professionals
who deliver a heightened level of support
to the young people and the existing team
of professionals that the facility serves
and employs.
The founders of WCFS,
Manjit Virk and Ramin Mohammadi, provided
direct service throughout their careers
collaboratively for over a decade and a
half, for the Ministry of Children & Youth
Services, local school boards, treatment
facilities, and youth shelters.
Manjit and Ramin noticed
the growing demand of young people receiving
services and requiring enhancement to their
current services, which led them to the
conclusion that WCFS or any other organization
will not be capable of meeting the demands
of children and youth living with mental
health and neurological concerns alone;
however a team effort would increase the
overall access to services for these individuals.
